Egbert Walinga (1970) has been a lawyer since 1996 and is admitted to the Amsterdam bar. Before that, he has worked in
Rotterdam and The Hague.
Egbert is an expierenced corporate lawyer and takes an particular interest in insolvency law. He has both advised clients on
corporate transactions: mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and loan documentation as well represented them in litigation
matters, including before the Enterprise Section of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Egbert has as well worked for many years
as a trustee in bankruptcies. Consequently, he is familiar with the ins and outs of companies in financial distress.
Education: Radboud University Nijmegen: master of laws, Grotius Academy Insolvency Law (post-graduate specialist training),
Grotius Corporate Law (post-graduate specialist training) and Erasmus University Rotterdam Financial Economics (post-
graduate specialist training).
Memberships: Dutch Bar Association, Dutch Association of Insolvency Practitioners (INSOLAD) and Dutch Association for
Corporate Litigation (VCL).
